Cut-Ups T-Shirt for Common Goals!

It's been a pretty incredible first month with Common Goals! We've taken the T-shirts to numerous shows, had many kind folk (including Huck Magazine and Punktastic) write nice words about us on their blogs, and sold way more shirts than we could have even hoped for! More information on that real soon (we'll be sure to keep you informed with the exact sales and a break down of where every penny goes) - until then, we're right back where we started at Handmade Arcade this Saturday (7th July) launching this awesome T-Shirt, designed for us by The Cut-Ups...

It's so exciting for us to already be talking about aditions to the Common Goals range! The Cut-Ups Heart was designed by Jack Hyde, he plays bass in the band, and also happens to be the co-founder of Common Goals!

Formed right here in Exeter, The Cut-Ups played their first show in 2004 and it would seem that they are a long way from playing their last - their third album is due to be released this September!

For thier charity, The Cut-Ups have nominated PAPYRUS UK (Prevention of Young Suicide). The charity was founded in 1997 by Jean Kerr, a mother from Lancashire. She and a small group of parents who had each lost a child to suicide were convinced that many young suicides are preventable. The name, PAPYRUS, came from the original name of the charity, Parents Association for the Prevention of Young Suicide. From those early days, people have joined the charity which is now the UK-wide membership organisation dedicated to the prevention of young suicide.

The Cut-Ups Heart shirts were hand screenprinted by the awesome
Get A Grip Studio, who we're very pleased to welcome on board as part of the project! Sam co-founded Get A Grip back in 2009, and we found out about them because they've printed shirts for so many bands that we know, and have also been printing the No Guts No Glory t-shirts for the past two years!

Get A Grip started from a combination of D.I.Y ethics, ecological thinking and a love of Punk Rock, so it's pretty clear why were so keen to work with them! Next time you're looking for some band merch, be sure to check them out - as well as standard shirts, they offer a great range or affordable Orcanic Cotton tees (like the Common Goals shirts), and always print using water-based or organic inks. We'll be posting a blog all about Sam and the lovely Get A Grip crew real soon, but for now take a look at their most recent print jobs on thier
blog.

See you at
Handmade Arcade this weekend, we'll be putting the Cut-Ups shirts up on our online shop next week :)
