Great Cynics / The Motor Neurone Disease Association

The Band: Great Cynics

Great Cynics is the brainchild of Giles Bidder and started life as just him and an acoustic guitar. The band has since transformed into a three piece playing up-beat folk/punk rock songs and their second album 'Don't Need Much' was released by Kind of Like Records in the US and the legendary Household Name Records in the UK.

The Charity: The Motor Neurone Disease Association

The Motor Neurone Disease Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland that funds and promotes global research into the disease and provides support for people affected by MND.

The Association was formed in 1979 by a group of volunteers who wanted to co-ordinate support, guidance and advice for people affected by the illness.

They now have 3,000 volunteers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and 150-plus paid staff, all dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by MND, now and in the future.
