August & September Round-Up

One of the main things that Nath and I discussed when we started Common Goals was how we would promote the project and continue to sell shirts at times when we were both incredibly busy. Well over the last two months this is exactly how it has been here at Common Goals. With No Guts No Glory, Handmade Arcade, The Cut Ups and animations it has been a packed August and September which meant that we couldn’t put as much time into the project as we would have liked to. But this is the beauty of the project,  we may not have been able to have stalls at shows and events but the shirt sales just kept coming through online. So we would like to thank all of you who spread the word about us, whether it be through twitter, facebook or just word of mouth. Seriously….Thanks!

So how did we do?

In August and September we sold 18 shirts, bringing our grand total to 68!

We have now sold enough Common Goals shirts to print up a new design by a new band! We will be announcing the band and the charity very soon so keep checking back!

Arteries sold 4 shirts, which means their overall fundraising for Mumbles Lifeboat Station has reached £180.

Great Cynics sold another 5 shirts, which means their overall fundraising for The Motor Neurone Disease Association has reached £150.

The Cut Ups sold 2 shirts, meaning their overall fundraising forPAPYRUS (Prevention of Young Suicide) has reached £160.

Added together this works out as a grand total of £490 for the three charities since we launched the project! Amazing!

So another great couple of months! We are really excited for October and November as The Cut Ups have a bunch of shows all around the UK, all of which will feature a Common Goals stall, so look out for it and come say hello! Check out www.thecutups.com for the dates.

Oh and just before I go, check out this lovely thank you letter from the Mumbles Lifeboat Station for our June and July donations.

Thanks!
